Alligator Tooth Cactus
I don't have any idea what the scientific name is for this plant; I call it "Alligator Tooth Cactus" because that's what my neighbor Jeannette, who gave me my start of it, called it. It produces little "babies" along the edges of the leaves, and those little babies will fall off. If they fall into dirt, they'll sprout new plants. I've sprouted LOTS and LOTS. These plants are really fun. You can make them grow in all sorts of directions. I used to try to make mine grow straight up and tall, but now I've taken to "bending" them into other, fuller looking shapes. They'll grow toward the sun, so you can "bend" them by turning the pots. They won't stand a freeze, so I'll have to move this one inside this winter.
Oh, in the background you see my first attempt at raising an agave. More about that plant later.
